You got stung where??

As you may know, Darwin has some beehives.  He started out with 1 beehive last year but in the last two weeks has increased that number to 3 hives.  He split his original hive, making his number go to 2, and then bought another batch of bees last weekend, making 3.  The new batch of bees seems to be more aggressive than the original bees.  He'd never been stung while actually working with the bees until last week when he was putting the new bees into their new hive--he got stung on the forearm through the fleece jacket he was wearing.  Last night he was tending to the bees (changing out their sugar water to help them get started with what they do best) and they decided they didn't like him messing with them.  He got stung on the eyelid!!!

He wasn't wearing his hat and veil because he thought it would be a quick switch-a-roo with the sugar water.  I'm hoping he'll be a bit more careful now . . . at least with the new hive!

This was taken last night just before we went to bed
This morning before he left for work
He's going to have a fun time explaining to his students all day what happened :)
*A little side-note story to go along with this:
Darwin had already had a really bad day at work yesterday, then he had to go to the dentist for cleaning (also not the most fun thing to do).  I had asked him if there was anything I could do for him to make him feel better and he said I could punch him in the face to get his mind off everything else that was going on.  Of course I wouldn't do that.  Then, the cherry on top of the whole thing, he gets stung on the eyelid of all places!  After that happened, I was reminded that God really does have a sense of humor because Dar had a hard time thinking about anything else with his stinging, itching, burning, swelling eye ;)  Not that I think God made the bee sting his eye, but it is kind of ironic if you think about it...
