An overdue upgrade.

Our girls have been sleeping in toddler beds.  We felt like Aurora was growing out of hers, but we wanted to wait until we're in our own house again to upgrade them to a twin bed.  Plans changed when Aurora started waking up almost every morning complaining that her back hurt.  After a week or more of this, I decided it was time to bite the bullet and just get them graduated out of their toddler beds.  We started researching beds and mattresses and then went for it.
We got their mattresses a couple days before the bed frames.  They loved sleeping on the floor :)

And of course they've had fun playing with their toddler bed frames because they've been sitting in the living room while we've been working on the transition to bigger beds.

Going under the sheets so they could "hatch" out of their beds.

Daddy came home yesterday afternoon with their new bed frames.  It's a bunk bed that can be separated as two twin beds.  We'll probably set it up as a bunk bed when they get a little older.

Talmage was Daddy's little helper buddy ;)

He had to set them up completely from scratch!  It took several hours to finish the project.  He's such a trooper and such a great daddy!

Aurora was especially grateful this morning when she woke up and her back didn't hurt! :)
