The girls have been enjoying all the things the Easter bunny brought for them. Savannah got to try peeps for the first time, and I think it's kind of a love-hate relationship. She likes the peeps but definitely doesn't like that they make her sticky :)
Savannah Updates:
-She officially started walking the Saturday before Easter weekend (Apr 12th). She had been taking a few steps here and there before that but would only take about 2-3 steps and then sit down. That Saturday she officially took off and we haven't been able to slow her down since!
-She's starting to do "arm crosses" with me when I exercise in the morning. It's pretty cute!
-She can put her finger to her mouth to say "Shh!"
-She signed "eat/food" for the first time yesterday, and can sign "drink" now too
-Her personality is getting stronger and stronger. I love it!
-She's trying to get down to one nap and it's definitely not my favorite transition. Her nap schedule is all over the place right now.
-I just found a new tooth tonight! She's growing a new molar all of a sudden. What?!
Aurora Updates/Funnies:
-Rori woke up with a cold a couple weeks ago and said, "Mom, my nose smells stuffy."
-Every time she prays right now she says, "Dear Heavenly Father, We're so happy we're treasure hunters..." I asked her why she says that and she told me: "Mom, Heavenly Father is a really great treasure hunter." Like it was common knowledge and I should know that already :)
-The other day Rori told me, "Mom, I need to go potty. And I just can't wait to begin!"
-A couple months ago I told Aurora it was time to eat breakfast and she told me, "But mom! I'm a Sullivan!" (From Monster's University) I told her Sullivan's have to eat breakfast too ;)
-A few days ago Rori was coming down the stairs outside our condo to get into the car and lost her balance. She didn't fall down but she said: "If I fall down, I'll hurt my hands like Jesus!"
-Daddy, Rori and I were watching the video I posted of David Archuleta singing "Be Still My Soul". Rori asked, "Mom? Who's that?" I said, "David Archuleta". And Rori said, "Oh. He's a cute one." Very matter-of-fact. She's a crack up!
-She's still struggling with potty training. We've been working on this for almost a year. Seriously. Maybe we're doing something wrong. We're still open to suggestions! I'm sure she'll get there eventually, but it's still a struggle in the mean time. Ugh!
-She's starting to learn more letters--when she'll sit down and practice with me.
-She's getting better at coloring and drawing pictures too!
And just for kicks, here are some more random pictures of the girls from April, most of which are of Savannah:
Rori wearing empty tissue boxes for shoes. I love her crazy, curly, morning hair!
I made Rori some pipe cleaner glasses. They were crooked at first, but they still looked cute ;)
Better after I fixed them
But Rori prefers a spy glass. Of course! ;)
Playing in the baby doll crib :)
Sorting Easter eggs
The TV remote is one of her favorite toys
Drinking a delicious berry smoothie made by Daddy
It was pretty tasty!
This red car is another new favorite toy.
Happy girl!
Another new favorite is playing on the computer. She attempts to type on the keyboard every chance she gets!
Playing in the toy box
Saying good night to Grampsie on the phone
And yet another of Savy's fav's is the bathtub--whether there's water in it or not, it doesn't matter! And she can climb in all by herself too.
Savannah got a toothbrush in her Easter basket (finally), and so far really likes brushing her teeth! Yes, she's wearing skeleton jammies in April. Don't judge ;)
She's very good at sharing :)
Happy April!
