July 29th: The Reservoir
Darwin's sister, Georgiana, came into town for a few days at the end of the month and we always love when Aunt Georgiana is in town! We had fun just hanging out and spending time with her. The last day she was here we all went up to the new reservoir and brought Grandma and Grandpa's canoe with us. The water at the reservoir was much colder than the water at Sand Hollow, but they made due. I was too chicken to get in the cold water :)

The girls had fun playing in the shallows and in the sand, as usual.
Triplet Calves
We went up north for my cousin's son's mission homecoming (he served in the same mission in Brazil where Darwin served) and got to spend some time with my family and cousins. Before we went home we stopped by my sister's house to see the new baby animals on their farm. The piglets and ducklings have gotten big, but the huge highlight was that one of the mama cows had triplets the night before! Triplet cows! It's pretty rare, just in case you didn't know ;) One article I read said the chances of a cow giving birth to triplets is 700,000 to 1!
Daddy helped Rori pet a goat while the calves were being rounded up
Liam, Hannah and Koda helped round up the babies

Getting a meal from their momma
They were hungry so I didn't get a good shot of their faces.
Cute little calves!! Congrats, Perkins family on your miracle babies! :)
Our Girls
One afternoon, our neighbor showed Darwin the new beehive he built. Aurora thought it made a fun bench :)
One day while Savannah was napping, we pulled out the water color paint set for Aurora. She thought she was in heaven!
Savannah always looks so cute when she's so snug and cozy on the couch in the mornings!
And she's pretty darn cute when she's practicing with makeup too :)
We decided to be brave one day and let Aurora paint Savannah's toe nails. She did a pretty good job! And, it helps that the nail polish we let her use washes off pretty easily :) Good job, girls!
They thought it was pretty cool that we let Aurora do the painting this time :)
Well, that wraps up July!
It feels so good to be almost caught up with the blog for once!
More fun to come in August!
