Aurora has been doing really well with the dairy we've been giving her over the last few years (cheese and dairy cooked or baked into things), so when I took her in for her 5 year old Well Child visit I talked to our doctor about it. She encouraged us to give her more dairy so we went for it! We started with a little bit of cottage cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream. When she did okay with those I started sneaking a little bit of cow's milk in with her soy milk without her knowing to see how she'd do with it. She didn't react to straight cow's milk either so I eventually started giving her cow's milk alone without her soy milk. She has had zero reaction to dairy, which is HUGE! We're thrilled, and so is she! She doesn't even want to finish off her soy milk anymore. This really is such a great step for her! She's been so excited to let people know she has joined the "Cow's Milk Club", and she came up with that all on her own :)
The other night to celebrate we all had root beer floats. They were definitely a big hit with both girls!
