It's hard to believe our sweet Savannah is THREE! Where has the time gone?
Savy's birthday was on Tuesday, just two weeks after Talmage was born. I felt a bit guilty that it wasn't as great as I'd hoped it would be fore her, but with having a newborn baby we did the best we could. She didn't seem to mind.
We let her open one present early. It was from Grandma and Grandpa and we wanted them to see her open it so she got to open this one while they were here the weekend after Talmage came.
Daddy had to help her open the package and put it together.
Daddy joked that they got her a unicycle :)
But it was a pink Radio Flier tricycle! She LOVES it! She especially loves the bell on the handle bar :)
Riding the new bikes they got for their birthdays.
She's a pro already!
And just because...here's a shot of a honey bee. Most likely one of Darwin's.
The big day!
The morning of her birthday, Savannah woke up to a giant stuffed horse on her bed! She really loves horses right now. We had also decorated her bedroom with ribbons and balloons and put streamers up in the kitchen over night while she was sleeping. Decorating over night has become a fun tradition the girls really look forward to on their birthdays. She ate her choice of breakfast, Nutella toast, and we just got to hang out around the house all day.
The girls watching a movie together, with Savy's new horse (which she named Graham Cracker).
The next two photos were taken by Savy:
Talmage and I both woke up with colds that morning. I felt icky and Talmage just wanted to be held.
New pony!
Daddy came home from work with flowers for the birthday girl and me, and a big bouquet of balloons for our birthday girl too!
Our happy birthday girl with her new favorite horsey!
That evening was the caucus meeting, so Daddy was only able to be home with us for about a half hour before he had to leave again. We decided to wait to do cake and ice cream because of our limited time with him that day. Of course Graham Cracker had to sleep in Savy's bed with her that night :)
Aurora looked cute snuggling her baby while she was sleeping, so I had to get a shot of her too :)
And things wouldn't be complete now without a photo of our sweet baby boy sleeping too!
March 25, 2016 - Birthday Celebration!
We celebrated Savy's birthday on Friday. Uncle Ryan and our Aussies came over to celebrate with us.
Such a happy girl! She felt special in her Happy Birthday shirt :)
With our special birthday headband :) She's such a cutie.
Savy got to help Daddy make her kit-kat birthday cake!
She's a goof ball. :)
Making her birthday wish!
Silly kid bit the wax off the bottom of the candle and swallowed it. Oopsie!
Eating some yummy cake and ice cream! Her cake was super rich! She requested "a round, chocolate cake" so we made her one but it was chocolate cake with chocolate, chocolate chip frosting, kit-kat candy bars surrounding the outside with more chocolate candies on the top. Death by chocolate! Haha!
Our cute girls :)
Then it was time for presents! She opened the gift from our Aussies first.
They gave her a Frosen coloring book with markers and some of her very own jewelry!
We gave her Graham Cracker on her birthday and then at her party she also got a little Princess Belle doll and a Cinderella lego set. Our girls love legos right now.
Aunt Georgiana sent her an animal lego set too. She knows our Savy well! Savy loves animals and she loves legos! :)
**Side note: After I took the picture above, Savannah said: "Thank you, Aunt Georgiana! I love you forever!" Haha! So cute!
Thanks to our Aussies and Uncle Ryan for coming over to celebrate with us!
Happy birthday, Sweet Savannah!
We're so glad you're in our family!
We love you!
