With a new baby at our house, spring break was pretty low-key this year, but it was perfect!
General Conference
Spring break started off with General Conference weekend. It's one of my favorite times of the year when we get to listen to a true prophet and other leaders for two whole days!
It was fun for all of us to snuggle up and get cozy together!
My cute boys :)
Aurora drew this awesome bee on the iPad
And Daddy made bunny-bum pancakes for breakfast because we didn't get them made for Easter.
Savy getting some snuggle time in with Talmage
Rori being silly with her banana muffin
Our sweet little Tally-man having a snooze in his swing.
Working in the Garden
Because we're living at Grandma and Grandpa's house right now, it was easier for us to get the garden planted earlier this year. The weather during spring break was perfect for getting the garden started! Darwin and the girls furrowed one day and then planted a couple days later. I helped by taking care of Talmage and played the role of supervisor :)
We have LOTS of Box Elder Bugs right now. The girls were scared of them at first and then became fascinated with them.
Bug watching :)
Our hard working Daddy furrowing the garden!
Rori with the hose :)
We took advantage of the warmer weather and roasted hot dogs for the first time this year.
It was a little chilly so I bundled up Talmage.
The girls loved that we let them roast their own hot dogs and marshmallows. They did great!
Enjoying their s'mores!
Cuties relaxing in the chairs they got for Christmas
Organizing seeds for planting!
Both girls were very excited to help put the seeds in the ground and they were both awesome helpers!
Watching Daddy so they would know what to do.
Aurora was our little perfectionist. She wanted to make sure she had them spaced out perfectly. I had to keep reassuring her that she was doing a great job and to not worry about the spacing so much.
Planting delicious peas!
Savy did a great job too! She was a little faster with getting her row done because she wasn't as concerned about the spacing of the seeds as much, and she had some help from Daddy.
After they got all the seeds in the ground, it was time to lay out the soaker hoses.
Aurora was a great helper and told us she wants to be a "hose worker" when she grows up :)
She got bored after a while and decided it was more fun to play in the dirt with Savannah.
It's been fun to watch the veggie plants poke up out of the ground over the last few weeks. We can't wait to eat them when they're ready!
