To add to our already crazy September schedule I signed the girls up to do a junior drill clinic at one of the local high schools. It was a 4 day clinic with 3 days of classes/practices and their performance took place during half time of the JV football game on the 4th day. We've been talking about signing them up for dance but we wanted a trial class first to see if they were interested enough to sign them up for a more permanent thing. Overall they both really liked it and it was a fun experience for them and for us!
I mostly stayed with Savannah because she was a little timid about being by herself. She sure was cute and fun to watch!
Each day before they split off into their age group they did a warm up and a "drill down" together as a group.
On the 2nd day I left Savannah with her group for a little while to take a few pictures of Aurora practicing her dance. She's such a cutie. I'm glad she really enjoyed this drill clinic!
Then I went back to watch Savannah :)
Day 3, final practice!
Warming up
Day 4 - Performance day!
We were all so glad that Daddy could rush up after work to watch the girls dance!
Sweetheart sisters :)
No photo opp is complete with these two unless there's a silly face picture.
Love Savy's face during their warm up :)
A little concerned when she realized Aurora wasn't standing right next to her any more.
A few of the groups got to practice their dances in front of the group before going out to the field for the performance. Savannah's group was the youngest and they got to go first.
I think this is the only picture I got of the two of them, but we were happy and surprised when we saw that Aurora's friend, Ashtyn was doing the drill clinic too.
Out on the field waiting for their turn to perform.
Looking for us in the bleachers.
Dancing and still looking for us :)
Savy found us pretty quickly.
"Hi, Mom!"
We got a thumbs-up...
...and a wink! ;)
Savannah's group performed first. They danced to "Dear Future Husband" by Meghan Trainor. She did wonderfully!
We didn't get a good picture of Aurora, but her group danced to "I Don't Dance" from High School Musical 2, and she did a great job too!
The girls had a lot of fun participating in the drill clinic and we had a lot of fun watching them!
