September was probably our busiest month this year. On top of Aurora playing soccer, school being back in session, and the craziness of everyday life, we signed the girls up to participate in a Tiny Tots Sports Class. Aurora did the class a couple years ago but Savannah is old enough now that they got to do it together this time. The class was twice a week through the whole month of September. The first day we went to class we were happy and excited to see Savannah's friend Kaia was in the class also so I got to catch up with my friend, Alycia, which was great!
It's always nice for all of us when they can participate in activities together.
Savy getting some help with a forward roll.
He's such a great baby! He was always so good to just sit and watch the girls.
Rori doing a forward roll.
Hop scotch!
Savannah struggled with hop scotch to start with, but then the instructor had her do "star-pencil" like they would do for their warm-up jumping-jacks and she got it in a snap!
Walking on a balance beam.
The highlight for all the kids was at the end of each class when they got to do the parachute. The girls loved this part!
Being silly and posing by a goose statue outside the gym.
At each class they got to try out a variety of sports and work on building their sports skills.
Rori doing a headstand :)
This was cute--Savannah thought it was pretty cool that another girl had the same shoes as her :)
Jump rope!
Ribbons are always fun to play with!
I was glad they got to be partners for this activity. Most of the time they were in separate groups.
Savy waving to Rori across the room :)
Shooting hoops.
Catching her run-away ball.
Our sweet little boy watching his sisters.
T-ball!
Rori likes to be first in line almost all the time. Maybe it's a first child thing?
Savannah doing a headstand :)
Parachute time!
They started each class by doing stretches and warming up. The girls really liked this part.
Pencil...
...into Star!
Listening to instructions.
Obstacle course!
Forward roll!
Hop scotch!
Happy girl having fun!
She was so proud when she could do the forward rolls all by herself without tipping to the side!
Learning how to throw a football.
Kicking a soccer ball.
Goal!!
Playing goalie :)
Miniature golf!
Hurdles--love that she has her tongue sticking out :)
More hop scotch!
Football time for Savy.
Cup stilts. These were pretty challenging but the kids really liked them!
Jumping through a hula-hoop. Love this shot! :)
More obstacle coarse challenges.
Rori sticking her tongue out again. It's what she does when she's focused :)
Hopping through the hula hoops.
Through the tunnel.
The maze :)
Cute girls!
Waiting for their next instruction :)
I was grateful they were put in the same group this time :)
Log rolls!
Peek-a-boo!
This was their last class and they got to choose which activity they wanted to do for free time.
Cup stilts!
Aurora wanted to try hop scotch on her stilts. Silly kid. Who doesn't love a good challenge? ;)
Last time doing the parachute.
At the end was their little award ceremony :) Yay, Savy!
So proud of her medal!
Rori's turn!
Love these cute kiddos!
**Little side note: I thought it was really cute that Savy wanted to wear her cheetah pants to the last class because they help her run super fast! ;) Cutie.**
With Savy's friend, Kaia.
They asked me to take more pictures of them with their medals when we got home.
Savannah is a crack-up!
Rori with both medals from the sports classes she's done and her soccer medal from last year. She hadn't gotten this year's soccer medal yet.
It really was so fun for them to do the sports class together--and with Kaia. It's so much fun to watch them growing up and learning new things!
