Halloween 2013

I'm a little bummed that we didn't get better pictures to document our Halloween.  Things ended up being a little chaotic for us and we felt a bit rushed with all the things we were trying to check off our list before and after trick-or-treating.  But, Halloween came and went, and we had a great time!

We had some friends meet us at IHOP for scarey face pancakes for breakfast

Rori decorated it all by herself!  And, she only ate the candy and strawberry off the top of it.  Good thing her breakfast was free!

And that's it as far as pictures go :( I know it's silly, but I'm going to put the girls back in their costumes to get a picture of the two of them and better documentation of Savy's first Halloween.

Thanks to April and Chelsey for letting us borrow such cute costumes for Savy!

Halloween Aurora-isms
The girls and I had to drop Daddy off at work.  The DJs on the radio were discussing Halloween and one said, "We all know that Halloween is cool and awesome..."
Aurora from the backseat, "Halloween is cool?"
Mom: "Yeah, it's pretty cool.  Don't you think it's cool?"
Aurora: "Mom, Halloween isn't cool.  It's AWESOME!"

On our way home after trick-or-treating and then visiting some cousins it was past the girls bedtime and Aurora was close to falling asleep in her car seat.  I wanted to wish her a happy Halloween one more time before she fell asleep.
Mom: "Happy Halloween, guys."
Aurora: "It's not happy Halloween, Mom.  It's sleepy Halloween."

I loved that at almost every door as the other kids were running off to the next house Aurora would turn back and in her sweet little voice say, "Happy Halloween!" to whoever just gave her some candy.

Yep.  Holidays are definitely better with kids.  Hands down.

Happy Halloween!
