A couple days before Aurora's birthday we got a good amount of snow. She LOVES the snow (especially eating it) and Savannah hadn't had the experience of playing in the snow yet. So, we bundled up and headed to a park with our favorite Aussies to have some fun in the cold white stuff :)
Savy's face cracks me up. It's like she's saying to Aurora: "How dare you touch my daddy!" Haha.
Getting bundled up for her first time playing in the snow!

Aurora headed straight for the swings :)

My cuties all bundled up and ready to tube down the hill

Back up the hill for more!

Rori went down in the tube all by herself!

Our sweet little Savy :)

Making a snow angel
In the tube like the big kids!

Ah, be still my heart! I love this little girl!

P's cousin made a snowman--Rori and P loved it! They're such funny kids :)

Aurora wouldn't let me take any pictures of her after a while so I had to try and capture them. I didn't think she was looking at the camera when I took this one.

Eating the snow, of course!

She thought it was funny that I was chasing her around trying to get a picture.

Savannah up close and personal with the snow :)

It's so nice when we can get out of the house and go do stuff as a family. The funniest part of the evening was when we were getting ready to head home. There was a bigger hill Darwin wanted to try with the girls so they hiked up it and found a trail paved in the snow that some other people had made. They got on the tube and headed down the hill and slid right underneath a humongous pine tree. It was hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing when Darwin was trying to get them all out from underneath it. I'm still laughing about it just thinking about it :)
Thanks, McSweeney's for a fun evening out in the snow!

DARWIN is on his 12th year of teaching, currently at Springville High School teaching astronomy, geology, environmental science, and physics. He also teaches physics at UVU for a 7 week STEM summer school program for junior high students. He also teaches teenagers in our church ward. He's super busy, but still makes time to be an awesome dad and husband.
