01.11.14 - 3 years!

I got Rori's birthday post up, but not her 3 year update.  I promise I'm not trying to be a slacker on my blogging. Work and my church calling keep me OOBER busy when I'm not taking care of the girls and other family obligations.  So, better late than never, here's Aurora's update:
Rori's 3 year stats:
Weight: 28.4 lbs (24%)
Length: 37.5 in (60%)
At 3 years:
-Aurora is a little firecracker.  She is definitely her own person and has a very strong personality at times.
-She's such a sweetheart and very loving.
-She loves being independent and loves when we let her do things on her own.
-She has a hard time sharing things right now, but at other times she's the best sharer in the world! Haha.
-She
-She currently LOVES the movie Frozen, and listens to the soundtrack daily (the movie hasn't been released yet).
-She loves being a big sister and tries her best to make Savannah happy when she's sad.
-She can count to 14 (but almost always skips #10)
-She can sing the ABC song on her own and recognizes several of the letters so far.
-She can draw a smiley face all on her own.
-She loves to color and play with stickers.
-She's learning how to ride a bike and use roller skates.
-She's a great little singer!  I LOVE listening to her sing, and love that she requests to sing songs together frequently.
-She's really starting to get into imaginative playing.
-She's hilarious and says some really funny things sometimes.
-Her favorite things are her "blankey-blankey", her cabbage patch baby, her new Elsa doll, Sally the sea lion, her puppy, her new dog named Rootbeer, and her kitty named Pepper.
-Her favorite movies are: Hotel Transylvania, Nightmare Before Christmas, Tangled, The Bee Movie, and most recently Monsters University.
-A couple of her favorite songs are "Hallelujah", "All Creatures of Our God and King", and of course "Let It Go" from Frozen :)
-She still loves to drink a full sippy of soy milk when we let her.
-She has really struggled with potty training this year--we started back in June.  She's finally getting really good at #1 but still won't go #2 on the toilet [probably TMI, sorry--this is for our records ;) ]
-She LOVES her Daddy and misses him so much when he's at work.
-She rarely takes naps anymore but still has to do quiet time on a daily basis.  She's currently in the habit of taking out ALL of her toys during quiet time, so it's fun to clean everything up every day.
-Her hair grew a TON this last year!  It's fun that she has enough for us to fix in fun ways, and she gets some pretty awesome bed head in the mornings :)  She doesn't like for me to fix it most days and tells me she wants it "In the breeze".
-She is the sweetest little thing and says the nicest things to people sometimes.  She's really good about using her manors, most of the time, and is turning in to such an amazing little person.

And just because I'm so far behind on my blogging and other things I need to get done, here are just a couple fun pictures of our beautiful girl from January:
One of the rare days she took a nap she fell asleep in her toy box :)

We watched my friend's baby one afternoon and Aurora was such a great helper!

I really feel like this post just doesn't do justice for our little sweetheart, but it'll have to do for now.
Happy Birthday, Miss Aurora.  We love you so much!  Thank you for being in our lives and for the many things you teach us each and every day.  We're so glad to have you in our family and that we get to be your parents.  There aren't words to express the gratitude we feel to have you in our family.  Thanks for making these last three years the most amazing yet!  WE LOVE YOU!!
