Finishing up with May - Planting the Garden

Ahh, it feels good to be blogging again!  June was a seriously CRAZY month for us!

First off, HAPPY 4th of JULY!

I have a day off from work so I'm taking advantage of it and I'm going to attempt to get caught up with my blogging a little bit.

We finally got around to planting the garden over Memorial Day weekend again this year.  It's fun that Aurora is getting older and more interested and excited about gardening.  She was SUPER excited to help plant our pumpkins this year--I think it's safe to say that Halloween is her favorite holiday, next to Christmas, of course!
She helped us organize the seeds

She and Darwin did most of the work--it's hard for me to help much with a smaller munchkin to watch.

Savannah finally realized how much fun it is to be down in the dirt too :)

It always feels so great to get the garden planted.  The very next day Aurora wanted to go check on the garden to see our new plants growing.  It was hard for understand that it was going to take a little more time for the plants to start coming up.  But they were popping out of the ground before we knew it, and we should start seeing some of our veggies coming in soon at this point!  Yay for fresh garden veggies!
