09.08.16 - 6 months old!

Our adorable little man is 6 months old! I can hardly believe it. Time flies way too fast!  He's becoming much more interactive and so much fun!

Talmage's 6 month stats:

Weight: 17 lbs 7.5 oz (47%)

Length: 27.25 inches (73%)

Head: 42.25 cm (17%)

At SIX months:

-Talmage has discovered his hands and feet.  He grabs his toesies all the time.  It's adorable.

-He loves to eat his baby food and he's a really great eater!

-On August 14th he rolled from his back to his belly for the first time.

-He's starting to babble sounds like ma-ma, da-da, and ra-ra.

-On August 30th he starting blowing raspberries.  It's great fun! :)

-He's really starting to grab at everything within his reach.

-He's working on sitting up on his own.  He does really well but still falls over sometimes and obviously hates to hit his head when he falls over.

-He's starting to get some attitude and opinion on things.

-He pushes off his feet and lifts his bum in the air which scoots him upwards on the floor. It's pretty cute and funny to watch.  He makes us laugh :)

-We moved him from the bassinet to the crib and he's starting to sleep much better and nap more consistently.

-He takes baths in the big bath tub now.  He's too big for his baby bath tub at this point.

-He likes to play with my necklace or grab my nose when he's nursing.
-He likes to be nursed and rocked to sleep.

-He thinks his sisters are hilarious--they make him laugh pretty hard sometimes.
-He loves to be tossed in the air. It makes him laugh a lot.

-Listening to him laugh is magical!
-He loves to be held and snuggled.

-He prefers to be held by Mom or Dad, especially Mom if he has his way.

-He is a very happy, content baby. He's extremely pleasant to be around.

-He is completely and entirely adored by our whole family!

I took this picture on September 14th--he had two bottom teeth poke through on the same day!  He was so pleasant though we didn't realize they were so close to breaking through the gums.

And he scratches his head when he's tired.  I clip his nails pretty frequently but sometimes he ends up scratching himself pretty good before I can get his nails clipped fast enough.  Poor little guy!

September 1st was his first time in the big bathtub!

He was a little unsure about all that space!

He's sitting really well on his own at this point.  He still gets a little wobbly though so we keep the boppy behind him for support just in case.

He loves being in the exersaucer and takes his toys very seriously. :)


Now that he's sitting up better on his own he can sit in the fun part of the shopping cart instead of in his car seat.  He and the girls think it's pretty awesome.
