Fire Station and Splash Pad

Last Wednesday we got to go tour our local fire station with some of our friends.  The kids really enjoyed it, and it's always nice to have some "mommy time" too.  I'm pretty sure this is the first time I have ever toured a fire station.  It was fun to learn some new things!  With Dar being done teaching for the summer he was able to join us too and I'm really enjoying having him around to keep up with Aurora while I take care of Savannah.  Tag-teaming is way better than having to do the one-man-band thing when he's at work.  We're pretty lucky gals to have our daddy home more in the summer time.  We always LOVE having him home more during the summer!

She's a natural!  Look how cozy she is sitting on that 4-wheeler! :)

When the tour was finished, we took the kids to the playground next door for a little bit.  Our water magnet decided to enjoy the splash pad instead, even though it was pretty chilly outside.  And since we can't keep our little munchkin away from the water, we just let her embrace it.

Thanks again, April for scheduling the tour of the fire station!  We'll definitely have to plan more fun stuff to do this summer.

P.S.  We're starting to potty train Aurora today--cold turkey diapers--wish us luck!
