July 28, 2016 - Denver LDS Temple
This was the only day Daddy spent the full day at the conference. After dropping him off, the kids and I headed to the Denver LDS temple. It's always fun for us to visit the temple when we travel somewhere, but this temple was actually not at all close to where we were staying. I was a bit nervous about navigating the freeways of Denver on my own, but I was extremely grateful for our GPS! I wouldn't have done it if I didn't have the GPS to rely on. We got to the temple without taking any wrong turns, and I only took 2 wrong turns on the way home. I count it as a successful trip to the temple! :)
It was about lunch time when we got to the temple so the girls and I had a picnic in the back of the Pilot. They thought it was pretty awesome.
Silly Savy :)
And silly Rori too!
These two make me smile!
They always get so excited when they see Angel Moroni! Aurora used to say that she was going to marry him :)
They got super excited when they saw the pretty water fountain.
Cuties.
Me and the girls
(Talmage was with us too but he slept in the stroller the whole time we were there)
Temple grounds always have beautiful flowers!
Rori having a peaceful moment in the grass.
Savannah decided to join her.
We went into the visitor's center for a little while to get away from the heat. We noticed the statue of the Savior right away, but then the girls thought it was hilarious that there was a fly on his nose and begged me to take a picture :P
Our little sweeties.
After cooling off we walked back outside around the beautiful grounds.
They got some energy out, but reverently--for the most part :)
They're always on the lookout for bugs
More beautiful flowers.
I love that they decided all on their own to hold hands! So precious.
Savy found a feather. This girl loves feathers!
Miss Aurora!
Miss Savannah!
Another shot of Angel Moroni
Our sweet, sleeping Talmage. Love this little man!
We ended up back at the fountain for a little bit.
Our visit to the temple ended when Aurora splashed Savannah with a little too much water. The wails of protest that followed were a little too loud for being on the temple grounds so I decided it was time to go. :)
I was so grateful I took the opportunity to take the kids to the Denver temple. I was honestly a bit uncomfortable during our trip because we were in very unfamiliar territory in a big city, and I was out of my comfort zone. I was so grateful for the peace I felt as soon as we drove on to the temple grounds. I hope that our kids will come to know and love the peaceful feelings they can find in the temple and as a great escape from the noisiness of the world around them. The temple is such a blessing in our lives and it was so nice to share a small bit of that with our kids during our vacation to Denver.
And silly Rori too!

** Happy birthday, Grampsie! Just had to add that in there :) **
