July 25, 2016 - Getting settled in Denver.
Darwin won a free entry to the National Science Teacher Association conference in Denver, CO so we decided to make it into a vacation for the whole family and we spent the last week of July in Denver. I'm so glad we did!
We stopped for lunch on the way out and took some time to relax and stretch our legs :)
A pretty view of the mountains and clouds in the distance. Pictures never do justice.
Instead of staying in a hotel we rented a little place we found on VRBO and stayed in the basement of an old house for the week. It was small, but manageable for the time we were there. After about 9 hours in the car, the kids were excited to be there and were very willing to help unpack their stuff and help us get settled in.

Savy is a great little helper!
Aurora was happy to be free! And she's a great helper too :)
Talmage and I were happy to be out of the car also. He's a great little traveler! He did so well in the car!
My precious little boy. He gets at least a hundred kisses a day! :)
Getting ready for bed!
Cutie Savannah in her jammies!
She's so silly!
So happy to be on vacation!
And these last two pictures are actually from our drive home but I didn't want to create a whole new post just for them :)
If you've ever driven from Utah to Colorado, you know there are some pretty awesome tunnels as you drive through the mountains. My friend, Tracee, warned us about the tunnels and told the girls they needed to hole their breath as we drove through them. They were so funny about the tunnels and thought it was pretty awesome to hold their breath for so long ;)
I'm so glad our kids are such good little travelers. It makes road trips pretty fun! Cheers to Denver!
