I love autumn and the beauty it brings.
I love October.
I love Halloween and the festivities that come with it.
Decorating Pumpkins
Decorating Pumpkins
Carving pumpkins is a bit messy with little ones so we tend to paint them or color them with markers instead. Our girls love it though! Although this time Aurora decided to try carving a pumpkin on her own. It made me a bit nervous, but luckily Mommy & Daddy were there to supervise :)
Cutie pie.
After they were done with pumpkins, the girls took turns taking pictures of each other.
Savannah showing a mean face while finishing up her dinner.
Close up of Aurora. Haha!
Rori being a zombie.
Halloween Sugar Cookies
Another night we baked up some sugar cookies, decorated them and delivered them to some friends and neighbors. The girls had fun decorating a few on their own and then Darwin and I finished up the rest after they fell asleep.
Happy girl, Savannah, enjoying a yummy cookie!
This girl makes me smile! I LOVE her genuine smile. So precious!
Daddy giving Rori a little bit of help
Rori's one-eyed-monster cookie.
A few of our yummy cookies
Aurora was really into decorating cookies this year. Love it!
Fun at Jaker's
One of our favorite things to do at Halloween time is to take the girls to our local pumpkin patch. They LOVE it! The biggest highlight for them both is the corn pit. It's hard to get them out of it! :)
Burying Aurora in corn
She had a blast making "corn angels" too :)
Corn!
Our sweet Savy having fun in the corn
Rori jumping into the corn
Burying herself. Again.
Savy taking a little snooze
Hanging out with Mia and Orlando :)
Digging her head into the corn. Silly.
Orlando raining corn on Aurora :)
I love this picture of Savannah and Mia!
Happy girls!
Cutie Mia!
These two have too much fun together sometimes ;) Love it!
Savy throwing corn on herself. Silly kid.
It's great to be a kid! Life is good.
We finally got them out of the corn pit to see some other things around Jaker's. Our girls climbing the haystack tower.
Our happy crew.
Way up high!
Looking at the horses. This sure made Savy happy!
Sliding down the bumpy tunnel!
Going for a hayride before heading home.
October 21, 2015 - Back to the Future Day!
If you're a Back to the Future fan, you know that October 21, 2015 is significant because it's the day Doc and Marty visit in the future. That day came! One of the assistant principals at Darwin's school is a huge BTTF fan and he even owns a Delorian. Darwin got to ride in it to go to a conference in Park City a couple years ago. The faculty at Darwin's school had a BTTF party and we all got the chance to sit in the Delorian. Good times :)
More fun October activities to come!
