I've worked for Vivint for over two years now and haven't had a chance to go to their end-of-year party yet. I barely missed it the first year I was hired (they held an Imagine Dragons concert just for Vivint employees and their families). Last year they reserved a couple of days for Frightmares at Lagoon. We decided not to go last year because it would be a really late night for our kids and too scary also. We'll save Frightmares for when they get older :) This year, Vivint held what they called "Vivintfest" which was a carnival and rodeo for the company and our families. It was close by and on a Saturday so it worked out well for us to go.
The girls got their faces painted, always fun for them :)
And got balloon animals. Aurora's was a unicorn.
Savannah's was a cute ladybug bracelet.
They got to play on the bouncy blow-up things
Happy girl!
They got to ride on ponies!
There was a little petting zoo. Savannah loves animals!
Aurora just thinks they're okay.
The highlight of the day was that we got to ride on an elephant! It was a little crazy that I had to stand in line for 2.5 hours for us to have this experience. But who's counting? How often do you get to ride on an elephant? It was worth it, even if the ride was only about a minute long :)
Riding on an elephant!
Riding some carnival rides.
Sky diver coming in for the rodeo, and a pretty sunset.
Riding a mini roller coaster!
There were also fireworks following the rodeo (which we didn't end up going to because we decided to just playing the carnival games and riding the rides). We were lucky that we caught the fireworks on our walk back to our car. The girls were pretty tuckered out at that point, but we got the best of both worlds by getting to see the fireworks and beat traffic getting out of there! It was definitely a fun event for our family and we got lots of free stuff!
